A Photography Collection

Not much of value can really be said of our oft adventures and odd happenings, and yet here I am, writing about them. We’re a strange bunch, we engage in all sorts of Tom Foolery, and I’m generally taking pictures of all of it. Our stories are perhaps lacking in originality and variety, but there is no shortage of character. These are our tales, the stories of vagabond.

These are trying times for we few vagabonds, wanderers and drifters searching for meaning in the midst of the mountain's mist. Try as we may, the feet never rest, the spine never settles and the boots never dry. We drift like tumbleweed across the lakes and mountains of the North East, in search of adventure and reprieve. Rarely ever are we at home, if such a place can be said to exist.

Heirlooms Of The Heart

Namesake

We carry the names of our fathers, just as they did with theirs, to keep their legacy alive. This is our nature, and the purpose of our namesake, to hold those memories. In these things and places, there is a thread of reminiscence, where the future bears testament to the past. I have only ever found discarded names on my journeys, the stories of a vagabond are written in old tongues.

The Bold Film Experiment

35MM

Film is an acquired taste, to be certain, one that very well may be lost on me. Try as I may to “get it,” I often feel as though the magic escapes me. Patience, perseverance and the whims of camera gods determine your outcomes in this realm. These are sometimes unfavorable odds, and the only remedy is trial and error. Even in my ineptitude I can recognize the particular appeal and spectacle of celluloid and film.

A(LIVE) AGAIN

Performance is in our veins, music flows through us. No photograph or recording can really do it justice. In its purest form, a musical performance is a shared experience. We are, after all, communal creatures. When I stand among the crowd I feel alive again.
