My lady ain’t like any other, she’s got a sort of shine that catches the eye, a color that glows in soft light; that may have been what won me over. A beauty such as this is uncommon, difficult to find and easy on the eyes. A beauty like that deserves to be named, deserves a look back and second take. Sweet Marie, the love I’ve longed after, the one made just for me.
We’ve already had our share of adventure, the exact kind I had hoped for, and we’ve got plenty more to come. The dawn of her has barely begun, and before long we’ll be reminicing on a bright, full day. I expect that we’ll go to great places, see incredible things, and craft unforgettable memories. Our time together will be the stuff of great mountains and rivers and wild lands, plus all the road in-between.
The days of skirting by may not be over yet, but the days of not living are. From now on, we’ll spend every dull weekend conquering the wilds, every empty night watching the sunset, and all the dull days planning for the brighter ones ahead. There’s no way of knowing what’s going to come, but I’m certain we’ll be finding our way through it, together.
Sweet Marie, I love your name.
Oh babe, won’t you turn your heart this way?
